5one is an up-and-coming contemporary/pop/rock acappella group consisting of 5 Millikin University music students. They started out as a group auditioning for a summer job at Navy Pier together. 5one is now becoming well-known throughout parts of the Chicago area as well as the Central Illinois area.

Rebirth of Cool (ROC) is Millikin's newest vocal jazz/commercial ensemble. The ensemble consists of 12 singers and sings music from both the jazz and popular music fields. ROC performs regularly on and off campus throughout the year. The ensemble is influenced by several artists including Take 6, Vox One, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Idea of North, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Real Group, The Singers Unlimited, New York Voices, Stripped, Chapter 6, Groove Society, and Millikin's OneVoice. ROC's director is John Stafford, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts Candidate at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
